| Wayne Phillips - 09/18/2005 MORGAN Family in Chesterfield, SC Mrs. Corey, I read with interest about your connection to genealogy in the Catawba-Wateree Messenger which led me to contact you. I understand to some degree the loss of records for Chesterfield County. I think my MORGAN family ties may have been centered in Chesterfield County prior to 1850. My ancestor was William Robert MORGAN (b. 1 Mar 1840 d. 26 Apr 1919). He had a brother John Gaylon MORGAN (b. 2 Oct 1837 d. 7 Feb. 1912). Both were the sons of George MORGAN and Lavinia "Sall" EUBANKS. She was the daughter of George EUBANKS and Sarah Jane MILLER. They lived in Chesterfield County, SC. Travel to do research has become an issue, but can you advise how I may gather more info for George MORGAN? Both Bill and John served in the Civil War. Bill MORGAN was first on the 1860 Census in Lancaster County, SC. Your help and advice much appreciated, Wayne Phillips Note: I am a member of the Catawba-Wateree Chapter. I have ancestors there for MORGAN family after the Civil War, and PHILLIPS / HILTON / SELLERS and few more families. They lived in the Flat Creek areal of Lancaster County, SC.
