| Beverly Shuler - 05/06/2003 Capt. Samuel TAYLOR m. Ann BONNEAU Dear Folks, I need quick help! Am trying to find out where this Capt. Samuel TAYLOR, listed in 1790 Census with 76 slaves, 3 men over 16, 4 boys under 16, and 4 women. One of the women was probably his wife, Ann BONNEAU. I am trying to unmix his records with those of Maj. Samuel TAYLOR, of Old Stone Church region in Pendleton-Clemson area. Reason: I am speaking at a DAR meeting on May 19, on the Major, my ancestor. They are dedicating a monument to him. James Haynsworth has them tangled, Bobby Moss couldn't unmix them for his book, and I am fairly sure I have the Pendleton one right, but don't seem to be able to find anything on the Cheraw one except there. With all those children, surely someone in the old Cheraw District descends from him! It included Marlboro, and Darlington counties, as well, right? Thanks for helping with this plea!! Beverly Sloan Shuler bshuler@comcast.net If you can help, I'll try to do something extremely nice for you! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ |
