Hattie Campbell Teal House Martin L. Teal House Annell Freeman Teal House |
James W. Jenkins: Hattie Campbell Teal, widow of Eugene Teal from Zoar Community, lived here. Milton Thomas lived here prior to building on Ivy Hill. Elizabeth Ann Gaddy Rivers: My cousin's, widow, Hattie Campbell Teal, built this house after my cousin Eugene Teal died. She and her sister Nellie Campbell Rivers, lived here when I was in elementary school, and I used to spend the night with them. At that time we were all members of Zoar Methodist Church, and I would go to church with them. After cousin Hattie's death, her nephew, Martin L. Teal, owned the house and rented it until he sold it to the current owner, Annelle Freeman Teal. Some of the renters were: Milton and Maude Garland Welsh Thomas, who lived here until they built their house on Ivy Hill, and Ed and Iona West Wallace, who lived here until they moved to Ivy Hill |
