Elizabeth Ann Gaddy Rivers: This property was owned by an aunt of Lois Douglas Burch. This is not the original house; The original house was a wooden house with a big front porch, and it was destroyed by fire. Lois inherited the property and her husband, Jim Burch, had what remained of the old house torn down and built the house that stands here today. At Lois's death their only child, Charles D. Burch, inherited the property which he later sold to Gloria Davis Teal, the current owner. |
