This house was built by Son Welsh, Jr. and was used as a rental home in the 40's. The Sue Lee King Davis family lived here after the death of her husband. Sue Lee had three children. She moved here and began a beauty shop that she later moved to Main Street. That shop still carries the name that Sue Lee and Evelyn Redmond concocted (DaMond) for it. Sue Lee married Pal Harmon, Sr. after the death of his wife. Dicky and Jean Gardner Davis lived here after they were married. Lee and Ruby Davis lived here, and Motsy Davis Hill lives in the house today. |
