Boatwright House
Theodore Randolph Pusser: Townley Redfearn operated the Redfearn Gin Company at this location. The building served as the office and the gin warehouses were across the street.

Dr. William Perry: This was the site of the Gaskins Cotton Gin. W. W. "Red" Gaskins and Robert Gaskins operated the gin here until they moved to the West end of town on Jim Rivers Road.

Charles D. Rivers: Clyde Ballard operated a freight truck business from this location after the gin moved. He later moved to Main Street where he operated the business. Clyde has received extensive damage to his head and lost a leg to an accident while working for one of the power companies. I remember we received a call to provide blood at the hospital in Florence, SC. I recall that we picked up Mr. U. W. Jenkins and Clyde drove to Florence in a new Plymouth Fury and I literally thought that we would never make it to Florence. I told Clyde, "If you don't slow down they are going to have to give me blood when we get to the hospital." On the trip home, I don't think he exceeded 35 miles per hour.

Bessie Lee Mangum Jenkins: A Mrs. Boatwright used the office as a home at one time.
