James W. Jenkins: The Jerome and Viola Eddins family lived here. There were three children (Merle, Betty Jo, and Lafond). Lafond was an outstanding athlete in high school. We were roommates at Newberry College and we have remained lifelong friends. Mrs. Eddins was a sister to Lula Chewning and Evelyn Campbell. They were Tommy Hunt's sisters. Mr. Jerome and Mr. Tom Eddins were brothers. |
