Elizabeth Ann Gaddy Rivers and James W. Jenkins: This building was originally the site of a washerette owned by Dean Pruitt and Everette Demby. It was later the temporary location of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home while the funeral home on East Main Street was being renovated and expanded. Today the east end of the building houses The Candle Outlet, a candle and card shop, owned by Tenita Curtis Sellers. The west end is the headquarters of the of the Chesterfield branch of First Health Emergency Medical Services. |
