James W. Jenkins: A. C. Griggs operated a restaurant here and later sold it to Jack Welsh who operated Wayside Grill. This was a popular teenage hangout in the 50's and in spite of parents warnings that our reputation would forever be tarnished if we hung out there, it remained quite popular as long as it was open. |
