Dr. William Perry: Mr. Jim Redfearn operated a service station at this location before this building was built. This building housed the office for the gin and the room where cotton was graded and sold. Charlie V. Rivers sold cotton. The white portion was not part of the original building.
James W. Jenkins: I recall that in addition to Mr. Calvin Rivers, Mr. Will Knight and Mr. Don Rivers worked here. I recall they had several people grading and selling cotton but I can’t recall the names today. |
