Donna Davis Hurst: This house was built in 1958 by the Griffith Construction Company. It was built for George L. and Katherine Holley Harmon (Original Owners). After Mrs. Harmon's death, Pal married Sue Lee Davis and they lived in the home until Pal's death. Sue Lee Davis Harmon continues to live in the home today.
James W. Jenkins: Mr. Harmon was the Director of the U. S. D. A. Soil Conservation Service for a number of years. Mrs. Harmon was a History teacher at CHS. She was the senior Class Sponsor when I was a senior in high school. |
