Grandview Church and School 1921
Class of 1918
Copied: Grandview Presbyterian Church on Mill Street in Chesterfield was established in 1886. The first building was built three years later in 1889. The (second) picture on the left was made in 1921. A new brick building was erected at the same location in the late 1970's, and the new building was dedicated in 1978. The Grandview Presbyterian School was located in a separate building directly behind the church building. This was a Presbyterian parochial school, with first-grade to eighth-grade classes. Rev. R. E. Foster of Chesterfield taught at Grandview from 1913 to 1934. The last photo shows the class of 1918 assembled in front of the school building.
