Donna Davis Hurst: This was one of the first four houses built on Ivy Hill. It was built in 1951 by a construction company from Wadesboro, NC.
The owners have included: A. Don and Carolyn Gunter Rivers House (Original Owners), James E. Lamm House James W. Jenkins: Mr. Rivers was employed with the Calvin Rivers Cotton Gin for a number of years. He purchased an interest in the Miller - Rivers Funeral Home. Mrs. Rivers was a business education teacher at CHS for a number of years. |
