James W. Jenkins: The first family I recall that lived here was the Teal Family. They had two boys and the younger boy, Jerry, was about my age. Johnny Davis married Mable Andrews from Virginia (she had two children: Marianne and Sarah Andrews). Johnny and Mable worked at Gaddy Groceries on Main Street. Marianne worked at the soda fountain at Chesterfield Drugs. |
