James W. Jenkins: Mr. Hurst was the owner and operator of Western Auto in Chesterfield for all his working career. He was a graduate of CHS, where he was an outstanding basketball and baseball player. He attended Wofford College. Donna Davis Hurst attended Columbia College and had a career in nursing at the Perry Clinic. Jeep and Donna had one daughter, Connie, who lives in Charleston with her family. Donna continues to live in the home today.
