Chesterfield Middle School |
James W. Jenkins: Chesterfield Middle School was built like hundreds of schools during the middle part of the 20th Century. It was a double loaded corridor with exterior glass walls. It incuded a cafeteria that doubled as an auditorium. It was dicontinued as a school when the new Chesterfield - Ruby building was opened on Highway 9 West. The old middle school served as the site of the Recreation Department after the old gym at 100 Magnolia Street burned. It was converted to a YMCA in August of 2006. |
