James W. Jenkins: This was known as the Tyler Teal home place. Mr. Teal operated a store on East Main Street (just below the B C Wadsworth Store which was built later). He owned a number of rental houses, and he had a trucking farm operation. I recall that we lived in the old store after it was no longer used as a store, and we lived in a small unpainted frame house located behind what would be known today as the Teal Wood Shop. I recall picking butterbeans for him while we lived there. We filled the tall wooden bushel baskets with butterbeans.
