Swinnie House
Charles D. Rivers: Don Swinnie and Pete Swinnie lived here with their mother. Don had an accident in the stream behind his house. It was his nature to go for a swim every day of the year, regardless of the weather. He stepped on a broken bottle and severed the tendons, muscles and blood vessels in his foot. Because of this accident he walked with a pronounce limp and a reconstructed shoe. He never married. He was the Director of the Agriculture Stabalization Control Services for several years. Pete married later in life and built his own home.

Dr. William Perry: I recall that people said the pond behind the Swinnie Home had the coldest water around. It must have been fed by a spring.
