T. F. Sowell: R. E. Sowell moved into this house from the original home that was on the south side of the farm. He and his wife, Esther McDonald Sowell came here from Kershaw County in 1986. Thornwell F. Sowell was a baby at that time. R. E. Sowell sold the original home to his son, Thornwell and his wife, Sudie Burch Sowell. They lived there until the house burned in 1932. They later moved into this house where T. F. and Mary Sue were reared. The house is now the home of T. F.'s son, Marshall Sowell and his wife Betty Kirila Sowell. They have one son, Marshall Evan Sowell. Five generations of the Sowell Family have lived here. |
