Dr. William Perry: This was the site of a house for a number of years. A Griggs family who had no children lived at this location for a long time. Mr. Griggs was a merchant in town, and they were wonderful neighbors. The Walter Burr, Sr. family lived here after the Griggs family.
James W. Jenkins: Pete Burr, a friend of mine, lived here when we were in grade school. Pete attended UGA and had a farming operation in NC after graduating from college. He died from cancer at an early age. |
