Hugh and Louise Gaddy House
Chris Tucker House

Mrs. Ada Rivers House (moved to East Boulevard after her death)
Dr. William Perry: Mrs. Ada Rivers lived at this location in the house that was moved to the back of this lot and now sits on East Boulevard (house is shown below). Mrs. Ada married a Watson, but did not stay with the man and she moved back into the house. I recall that when she died, I was called to the house and found her on the floor. When I examined her I noticed a part of a rubber inner tube strapped to her body. Inside the inner tube was $18,000. I was told that she had walked alone to the Rivers Cemetery on Jackson Road the morning before she died (that is over a distance of 5 miles round trip). Louise and Hugh built this house after Mrs. Ada's house was moved to the street behind. Hugh and Louise had lived in the house across the street where Dr. Kneece later lived. There was a spring located about where the right side of the house is today.
