Chat and Chew Restaurant

"Okie" and Frances Carlisle ran the Chat and Chew (also called the Squat and Gobble) Restaurant. "Okie" managed the Kneece Dairy on the West end of Chesterfield. He was from Oklahoma and that accounts for his nickname. I think another restaurant operated for a period of time at this location.

I recall that Yates Brown worked the grill at the Chat and Chew.
Edwin "Brother" Davis, Probate Judge, uses the building as a Wedding Chapel (2006).
