  [Copied] Land for the church was donated by Hardy J. Sellers in 1841.
First part of present santuary built around 1904.
Church moved to its present location in 1930.
Educational wing added in 1940.
Church bricked and a steeple added in the 1950’s.
Library started around 1957.
Parsonage built 1961-1962
Second floor added to educational wing, baptismal pool and stained glass windows added in 1966.
School bus purchased in 1971.
Baby grand piano and Baptist Hymnals purchased in 1976
Fellowship building completed in 1979.
Church van purchased in 1983.
New Sanctuary completed January 1995.
Old sanctuary renovation into Sunday School rooms completed September 1998.
First secretary hired April 1999.
Church directories were published in 1971, 1979, 1984, 1995.
Over the last 161 years there have been 38 pastors with average length of service 4.4 years.
The three longest serving pastors:
Reverend W. T. Jones 1839 to 1853. (14 years)
Reverend E. C. Williams 1859 to 1881. (22 years)
Reverend William L. Lively 1977 to 1992. (15 years)
